    Hello,

I´ve been a proud MAGNAT 450 speakers owner for long time. I purchased time ago a new MAGNAT900 amplifier, and today I discovered that it has a Source Gain option that allows the input level to be adjusted by ±6 dB. According to the manual, this setting can be accessed by pressing and holding the MENU button on the original RC301 remote control.

The problem is that this function does not work on my unit. Pressing the MENU button on the RC301 remote (either briefly or by holding it down) does not do anything.

I also noticed that the SOURCE (+/-) buttons do not change the input source. I only can to this using the amplifier selector.

Could this indicate a problem with the remote control? The amplifier and the RC301 remote are both brand new, and these functions have never worked since I received them.

Could you please help me determine whether this is a faulty remote control or if there is something I may be missing?

    Regards,   Aníbal  . . .

Except of the option for individual gain adjustment, you have also the option to name each input source as you like but this is possible only from the front panel of the amplifier and not from the remote control.

Select the input source you want to adjust and then press and hold the MONO button in the front panel. After a second or two the screen will present two options for the adjustment.

    Enjoy,

    Yiannis
